Gail Moses has been teaching art to the valley youth for over 20 years. Her art business has grown from teaching out of her Jeep, kitchen table to kitchen table, to her current location instructing over 100 children a week in her 8 month long art exploratory program with classes in drawing, painting and crafts. She has had residencies in the communities of Kongiganak, King Cove, Palmer and Dillingham as part of the Artist in Residence program.
Many will recognize her from her years of experience as a substitute teacher in the Mat-Su Borough School District. Her community contributions include donation of time, services and financial support to public and charter schools, local churches, Soccer, Volleyball and Football programs and has never been known to say no to a child without a cause. Gail attended the Universities of Colorado, Maine and most recently the University of Alaska where she completed her BFA thesis with a series of mixed media works.
Gail has worked in conjunction with the Valley Community Theater at the Creekside Art Center, Blain’s art supply and has taught art workshops through the Pacific Rim Theatre Summer Art Camps. She has shown her work at the Kimura Gallery, Kaladi Bros, The Gallery, MSC Atrium Gallery, Vagabont Blues, Alpine Garden Grille, Bagels AK, and is part of Mat-Su Regional’s permanent art collection.
